22 Day CNA Program

Program Description

The Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) offers a comprehensive training package including 60 hours of face-to-face theoretical instruction and 100 hours of supervised clinical training in an authorized skilled nursing facility.

The program meets and exceeds the minimum certification requirements of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Aide and Technician Certification Section.

Upon successful completion, students receive a Certificate of Completion and are eligible to take the State-approved Competency Evaluation Examination. Graduates demonstrate competence in providing direct patient care within the scope of practice of a Certified Nurse Assistant in long-term care and residential care settings.

Admission Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Valid Social Security Card
• Must speak, read, and write English
• Completion of Live Scan (Fingerprinting)
• Criminal Background Clearance through CDPH

Applicants must complete Live Scan fingerprinting upon enrollment. CDPH reviews all criminal convictions under Health & Safety Code Section 1337.9(c) before granting or denying clearance.

Important: The clearance process may take additional time. The school does not provide refunds if a student is denied background clearance.

Payable to School

• Registration Fee: $240.00 (Non-refundable)
• Tuition: $2,740.00

Payment Options

• Full payment due on first day of class
• 4 installment plan: $565.00 per payment (includes $15 installment fee)
• First payment due on or before first day of class

The school does not provide financial aid. Students are responsible for all tuition and any student loan repayment plus applicable interest.

Additional Out-of-Pocket Expenses

Books, uniforms, safety belt, blood pressure equipment, BLS certification, and state exam fee (approximately $300). Purchased eBooks are non-refundable.

Clinical Site Rotation Disclosure

Clinical sites are located in Signal Hill, CA. Students may rotate between facilities to ensure high-quality clinical education. Due to Southern California traffic conditions, students must be prepared for travel time to clinical locations.

Active American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider card and medical clearance are required prior to clinical training.

VSK Healthcare does not offer tuition reimbursement for students denied certification due to disqualifying convictions.
